Hydro Tasmania

Hydro Tasmania is Australia's leading provider of renewable energy. It owns hydro, wind and diesel assets with a total generating capacity of 2615 MW. Hydro Tasmania was dis-aggregated from the Hydro Electric Comission in 1998, in anticipation of joining the National Electricity Market.

Hydro Tasmania uses NEM-Watch in a number of different ways. NEM-Watch is on display in the reception area of the main office in Hobart. This helps visitors to understand the market in which Hydro Tasmania operates. NEM-Watch is also used by Hydro Tasmania's trading team to assist in their trading operations. Finally, Hydro Tasmania's copy of NEM-Watch Publisher provides all staff with a view of the market over the corporate intranet.
